6 Anne yarn rolls – Color: #7148 (Craft);
Crochet hook – 3.0 mm;
Elastic thread for the waistband.
Stitches Glossary & Abbreviations: Chain (ch.). Slip stitch (sl st.): Insert the hook, yarn over, pull through the stitch and the loop on the hook. Single crochet (sc.): Insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through both loops on the hook. Double crochet (dc.): Yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over again, pull through the remaining two loops. Back post double crochet (BPdc.): Yarn over, insert the hook horizontally from back to front around the dc of the previous row, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over again, pull through the remaining two loops. Front post double crochet (FPdc.): Yarn over, insert the hook horizontally from front to back around the dc of the previous row, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over again, pull through the remaining two loops. Fantasy stitch: Follow the chart. Ribbed border: Follow the chart.
Gauge: A 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm) square in fantasy stitch using a 3.0 mm hook = 25 sts. x 8 rows.
Execution
Pants – Front and Back – Both sides are identical. Start from the top. Make a foundation ch. of 216 sts., join in the round, and work in fantasy stitch following the chart, repeating from to across the stitches (12x). Close each round with a sl st. and start the next round with 3 ch. At 13.7" (35 cm) from the beginning, to form the legs, divide the work into two equal parts and work each leg separately. Pick up half of the stitches and increase 18 sts. at the center. Work in the round in fantasy stitch following the chart, repeating from to across the stitches (7x). At 25.5" (65 cm) from the beginning of the leg, work 2 rows in dc. and fasten off. Make the second leg the same way.
Jacket – Back – Make a foundation ch. of 107 sts. + 3 ch. to turn and work in fantasy stitch following the chart, repeating from to across the stitches (6x). At 23.5" (60 cm) from the beginning, fasten off. Right Front – Make a foundation ch. of 53 sts. + 3 ch. to turn and work in fantasy stitch following the chart, repeating from to across the stitches (3x). At 20.8" (53 cm) from the beginning, for the neckline, decrease on the right side in each row: 10 sts. and then 2 sts. (4x). At 20.8" (53 cm) from the beginning, fasten off. Left Front – Work the same way as the right front, but in reverse. Sleeves – Make a foundation ch. of 72 sts., join in the round, and work in fantasy stitch following the chart, repeating from to across the stitches (4x). Close each round with a sl st. and start the next round with 3 ch. At 8" (20 cm) from the beginning, fasten off.
Finishing – Pants – For the waistband, work 5 rounds in rib stitch around the starting edge, following the chart, and fasten off. Cut two pieces of elastic thread, each measuring 22" (56 cm). Insert one piece of elastic, folded in half, between the stitches of the first round, and the other piece between the stitches of the last round. Tie the ends of the elastic securely to prevent it from coming loose. Jacket – Sew the shoulder seams. For the collar, work 20 rows in sc. along the front and back neckline and fasten off. Attach the sleeves, sewing 6" (15 cm) on each side separately. Work 2 rows in sc. around the lower edge of the sleeves and fasten off. Sew the side seams. Work 2 rows in sc. along the lower edge of the jacket and fasten off. Finally, work 5 rows in sc. along the front edges and fasten off.e.
