Abbreviations:
st: stitch, sts: stitches, CO: cast-on, BO: bind-off, k: knit, rnd: round, WS: wrong side, RS: right side, k3tog: k 3 stitches together.
Knitting stitches used: garter stitch (in the round): follow chart 1, stitch pattern (A - in the round): follow chart 2, stitch pattern (B - knit flat): follow chart 3, stitch pattern (C - knit flat): follow chart 4, stitch pattern (D - knit flat): follow chart 5, ssk (left leaning decrease): slip 1st stitch knitwise, slip 2nd st purlwise, slip both back to the left needle and k them together.

NOTE: if your gauge doesn’t match using 5.0 mm needles, switch to 6.0 mm needles.
Execution
Transfer the molds to wax paper to use as reference when making the pieces. Pay attention to the arrows on the measurements chart indicating the direction of the work.
Top:
Work from the bottom up, making front and back at once in the round. Cast-on 141 sts using the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Neptune and 5.00 mm needles. Join the round by making an ssk with the first and last sts, so you have 140 sts on the needles. Place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round. Knit in garter stitch following chart 1 for 4 rounds. NOTE: to create the stripes, switch yarn colors every 8th round as follows: Neptune, Quartz and Porcelain. Work in established st pattern (A) following chart 2 until the piece measures 17 cm from the CO edge, then start working flat. Leave the 70 back sts on a stitch holder to work on them later.
Top- front panel:
With the 70 front sts left on the 5.0 mm needles, knit in the established st pattern (B), following chart 3. Start shaping the armholes, decreasing 6 sts on each side (1x) so you have a total of 58 sts. At 26 cm from the CO edge start making the neckline: BO the 16 center sts and work with the 21 remaining sts on each side separately. Decrease, on alternate rows, 3 sts on each side (1x), then 2 sts (1x) and 1 st (1x). When the piece measures 34 cm, place the 15 remaining sts of each shoulder on the stitch holders to BO later.
Top- back panel:
Return the 70 back sts that were left on the st holder to the 5.0 mm needles. Knit in the established st pattern (B) following chart 3 and start shaping the armholes, decreasing 6 sts on each side (1x) so you have 58 sts in total. When the piece measures 30 cm, start shaping the back neckline: BO the 16 center sts and work with the remaining sts on each side separately. Decrease, on alternate rows, 3 sts on each side (1x), then 2 sts (1x) and 1 st (1x). When the piece measures 34 cm, place the 15 remaining sts of each shoulder on the stitch holders to BO later.
Invisible bind-off- right shoulder: place the 15 sts left from each panel back on the 5.00 circular needles and align the front to back. Using the tapestry needle and a 50 cm tail of Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the same color as the shoulders, seam them using kitchener stitch, until the 7 cm seam is closed.
Invisible bind-off- left shoulder:
Same as the right shoulder.
Armhole finishing:
Using the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Neptune and 5.0 mm needles, pick up and k 62 sts around the armhole. Knit in established st pattern (C), following chart 4 for 4 rnds. BO all sts.
Repeat for the other armhole.
Neckline finishing:
Using the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Neptune and 5.0 mm needles, pick up and k 92 sts around the neckline. Knit in the round in established st pattern (C), following chart 4 for 4 rnds. Place a st marker to mark the beginning of the round. BO all sts.
Lining:
Cut the fabric according to the measurements and sew to create the shape of the top.
Pants:
NOTE: to create the stripes, switch yarn colors every 8th round as follows: Neptune, Quartz and Porcelain.
Right leg:
Start at the bottom and knit flat. Cast-on 71 sts using the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Neptune and 5.00 mm needles. Knit in the established st pattern (B), following chart 3. When the piece measures 14 cm, increase 1 st on each side every 4th row (14x), so you have 99 sts in total. When the piece measures 68 cm, shape the crotch area decreasing on each side, on every other row, 3 sts (1x), 2 sts (1x) then 1 st (2x), so you have 85 sts in total. When the piece measures 93 cm, make the waistband in established st pattern (D), following chart 5 for 14 rows. Bind-off all sts and set aside.
Perna esq.:
Same as the right leg.
Assembling and finishing:
With the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the colors Neptune, Quartz and Porcelain and a tapestry needle, join the right and left legs at the crotch and sew the close. Fold the waistband to the WS, doubling the thickness. Enclose the elastic creating a slight gather and secure it inside with basting sts.
Lining:
Cut the fabric according to the measurements and sew to create the shape of the pants.
