Materials:
4 hanks of InLove Slim - Color: 20 (Natural);
5.0 and 5.5 mm knitting needles;
5.0 mmcircular knitting needles with a 60 cm cable.
Stitches used: 2x2 rib: k2, p2, k2. Stockinette: k on the right side, p on the wrong side. Stitch pattern: k1, yo, k2, pass the yo over the k2, k8, yo, k2, pass the yo over the k2, k1. Middle lace: follow chart.
Gauge: 10 x 10 cm square in the established stitch pattern (instructions above), using 5.5 mm needles = 17 sts x 24 rows.
Instructions
Back – cast-on 78 sts on the 5.0 mm needles and knit in 2x2 rib. When the work measures 7 cm from the cast-on edge, switch to 5.5 mm needles and work in the established stitch pattern, following the instructions above. Make 5 increases evenly distributed on the 1st row, then make 1 increase on each side every 8th row, for 6 times in total. Bind-of all stitches when the work measures 48 cm from the cast-on edge.
Front – cast-on 78 sts on the 5.0 mm needles and knit in 2x2 rib. When the work measures 7 cm from the cast-on edge, switch to 5.5 mm needles, make 4 increases evenly distributed on the 1st row then work as follows: 30 sts in established stitch pattern (instructions above), 22 sts to make the middle lace following the chart and 30 sts in established stitch pattern (instructions above). When the work measures 45 cm from the beginning, bind-of the 19 center stitches and work on each side separately to shape the neckline. Bind-off 5 sts on each side of the neckline every 2nd row, for 5 times in total (10 rows). Bind-off all remaining stitches when the work measures 48 cm.
Finishing – Seam the shoulders. To finish the sleeves, pick up and knit 68 sts around 17 cm of each armhole and knit in 2x2 rib; bind-off when it measures 7 cm. Do the same on the other side. With the circular needles, pick up and knit 88 stitches on the right side of the neckline and knit in 2x2 rib; bind-off when it measures 9 cm. Seam the sides of the body and the sleeves.
