Gauge: A 4 inch (10 cm) square in fantasy st. (A) with a 3.0 mm hook = 31 sts. x 14 rows.
Execution
Transfer the patterns to tracing paper to use as a reference while making the piece. Follow the arrows in the measurement diagram indicating the direction of the work.
Cropped: Using a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn in Electric Pink color, start the piece from the bottom, working the left back, front, and right back all at once in back-and-forth rows. Make a foundation chain of 241 sts., then work fantasy st. (A) following diag. 1 and the st. repeat from the 1st to the 26th row. Next, continue the upper part of the right and left cups separately in back-and-forth rows. Work in fantasy st. (B) following diag. 2 from the 27th to the 36th row.
Edging for the hem: Using a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn in Electric Pink color, join the yarn to the foundation ch. of the cropped top. Work in fantasy st. (C – 176 sts. per row) following diag. 3 and the st. repeat from the 1st to the 5th row. Work in back-and-forth rows. Edging on the sides: Using a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn in Electric Pink color, join the yarn to each side of the piece and work in fantasy st. (C – 50 sts. per row) following diag. 3 and the st. repeat from the 1st to the 4th row. Work in back-and-forth rows. Make the other side the same way.
Cord: Using a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn in Electric Pink color, join the yarn to the back 4.75 inch (12 cm) from the side. Make a 37 inch (95 cm) foundation chain. Thread this cord through the cups as shown in the diagram. Make the other cord the same way.
Lining and finishing: Shape the lining over the front part of the cropped top, leaving the right and left back parts free. Attach it to the crochet piece with basting sts. using Maxxi Retrós thread in pink color and a sewing needle No. 2. On the side of the left back part, sew the 3 buttons in place.
