Size: 18.5 in x 14.2 in (47 cm x 36 cm)


Materials:

1 skein of Natural Cotton Sparkle - Gold (700g) – Color: 20 (Natural);

4.00 mm crochet hook;

Pillow filling for a 18.5 x 14.2 ( 47 x 36 cm).


Gauge: A 4 inches in (10 cm) square in double crochet (dc), made with Natural Cotton Gold Shine and a 4.00 mm hook = 16 sts x 10 rows.

 

Abbreviations: st. (stitch); sts (stitches); w. (work, working); hk (hook); rep. (repeat or repetitions); f.o. (fasten off); follow (following); ch. (chain); sl. st. (slip stitch); row(s) (row); yo (yarn over); d.c. (double crochet); s.c. (single crochet); f.p.tr. (front post treble crochet); popcorn st. (Popcorn stitch with 4 double crochets); f.p.d.c. (front post double crochet); f.p.d.c.tog. (front post double crochet together); crossed f.p.tr. (crossed front post treble crochet).

 

Stitches used: ch. (chain); sl. st. (slip stitch); d.c. (double crochet); s.c. (single crochet); f.p.tr. (front post treble crochet); popcorn st. (Popcorn stitch with 4 double crochets); f.p.d.c. (front post double crochet); f.p.d.c.tog. (front post double crochet together); crossed f.p.tr. (crossed front post treble crochet).


Execution:

 

Chart 1 

Start with 74 ch. + 3 ch. to turn the work.

Row 1: work back from the 4th ch. from the hook with 74 d.c.;

Row 2: Start with 3 ch, 74 d.c.;

Row 3: Start with 3 ch, 4 dc, 1 popcorn st., 1 d.c. repeat from to (32x), 4 d.c.;

Row 4 and Row 6: start with 3 ch. 74 d.c.;

Row 7: Start with 1 ch., 8 s.c., 3 f.p.d.c.tog. over the sts of Row 5, 4 s.c., repeat from to (11x), 3 f.p.d.c.tog. over the sts of Row 5, 5 s.c.;

Continue following Chart 1, work in rows back and forth.

Fasten off the yarn.

Join the yarn onto the initial chain, start with 3 ch. and work 1 d.c. into each base st.

Set the yarn aside.

 

Chart 2 – Back Part

Continue with the yarn from Chart 2.

Row 1 to Row 34: Start with 3 ch., 74 d.c.

Set the yarn aside.

 

Chart 3 – Joining and Finishing

Continue with the yarn from Chart 1.

Fold the piece in half and work around the entire edge of the piece, joining the front part with the back part.

Row 1: Start with 1 sc, start with 2 ch, 2 dc, skip 3 base sts, repeat from to around and join 3 sides of the piece, work the last side joining only the front part, without joining. Finish with a sl st.

Continue following Chart 3, work in circular rounds, work Row 2 on the wrong side and Row 3 on the right side of the piece.

Fasten off the yarn.

 

Make 2 chains of ch to tie and close the opening of the piece.
