Execution

Front and back are worked together in the round, bottom-up.

Cast-on 176 on the 5.0 mm circular needles, join the round and place a stitch marker before the 1st stitch to mark the beginning of the round (BOR). Work in 2x2 rib for 10 cm, then in stockinette for more 24 cm.

At 34 cm from the beginning of the work, work as follows to shape the armholes: bind-off 14 stitches, k 74 stitches and place them on a stitch holder, bind-off another 14 stitches, k 74 the remaining stitches and place them on another st holder. Break the yarn.

Sleeves– cast-on 40 stitches on 4.0 mm needles and work in 2x2 rib for 9 cm. Switch to stockinette and decrease 1 stitch on each edge, every 4th row, 13 times in total. After the increases, work in stockinette until the panel measures 39 cm. Then, to shape the armholes, bind-off 7 stitches on each side. Leave the remaining stitches on a stitch holder. Make a second sleeve the same way.

Once the body and sleeves are done, place all stitches back on the circular needles in the following order: 52 stitches from the 1st sleeve, 74 sts from the front, 52 sts from the other sleeve, 74 sts from the back (252 stitches in total on the needles). From now on work in stranded colorwork, following the chart: work the stitch repeat from the chart between 42 times.

In the 12th round, make 48 evenly distributed decreases- you should end with 204 stitches.

Work in pattern without decreasing for rounds 13-22; work the stitch repeat 34 times.

In the 23rd round, make 30 evenly distributed decreases- you should end with 174 stitches.

Work in pattern without decreasing for rounds 24-28. Work the stitch repeat 29 times.

In the 29th round, make 24 evenly distributed decreases- you should end with 150 stitches.

Work in pattern without decreasing for rounds 30-31. Work the stitch repeat 25 times.

In the 32nd round, make 24 evenly distributed decreases- you should end with 126 stitches.

Work in pattern without decreasing for rounds 33-36. Work the stitch repeat 21 times.

In the 37th round, make 12 evenly distributed decreases. You should end with 114 stitches.

Work in pattern until the end of the chart. Work the stitch repeat 19 times.

When you finish the chart, work in 2x2 rib for 3 cm, then bind-off in pattern.

Finishing– Seam the shoulders and the underarm. Weave in all ends and block your piece to even out the stitches.
