Execution
Mug Cozy: With the Almond yarn, start with a foundation chain of 48 ch. + 1 ch to turn the work. R1: Starting from the 2nd ch. from the hook, work 48 sc. R2 to R16: Start with 1 ch., work 48 sc. R17: Make 17 ch., join with a sl st. to the side of R1, following diag. 1, work 48 sl st. along the bottom edge of the piece, make 17 ch., and join with a sl st. to the side of the last row, following diag 1. Fasten off.
Ears: With the Expresso yarn, follow diag. 2. Start with a foundation chain of 10 ch. + 1 ch to turn the work. R1: Starting from the 2nd ch. from the hook, work 10 sc. Fasten off. R2: With the Almond yarn, start with 1 ch., work 2 sc., 3 hdc., 5 dc., 5 dc. in the same stitch, 5 dc., 3 hdc., 2 sc.; Fasten off. Make 2 identical ears and sew them onto the piece following the assembly diagram.
Eyes: With the Black yarn, start with a magic ring and follow diag. 3. R1: Start with 2 ch., work 7 hdc. into the ring, close with a sl st., and fasten off. Make 2 identical eyes and sew them onto the piece following the assembly chart.
Embroidery: Embroider the eyebrows with Black yarn, the snout with Expresso yarn, and the teeth with Off-White yarn, following the assembly chart.
Pom-pom: Using Almond yarn, make a pom-pom with a 1.4-inch (3.5 cm) pom-pom maker and sew it onto the piece following the assembly chart.
