Knitting stitches used: 2x2 rib – work flat: follow chart 1, stitch pattern: follow chart 2, 2x2 rib – in the round: follow chart 3, SKP (left leaning decrease): slip 1 stitch knitwise, k1, pass the first stitch over the one just knitted, CDD (centered double decrease): slip 2 stitches knitwise, k1, pass both slipped stitches over the one just knitted; k2tog: knit 2 stitches together.
Gauge: 10 x 10 square in lace pattern (chart 2), with 5.0 mm needles = 16 sts x 24 rows.
Execution: transfer the molds to wax paper to use as reference when knitting the piece. Pay attention to the arrows on the Measurements chart indicating the direction of the work. Knit the front, back and sleeves flat; knit the collar in the round.
Back: CO 80 stitches on the 5.0 mm needles, using Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Circulo Red and start knitting in 2x2 rib, following chart 1 and the st repeat for 8 cm. On the last row of the ribbing, make 12 evenly spaced increases, ending with 92 sts. Proceed to work in the established st pattern (1 edge st, 9 mot., 1 edge st), following chart 2 and the st repeat until the piece measures 54 cm. Place the 32 center stitches on a stitch holder (neckline) and BO the 30 remaining sts on each side. Place the panel aside.
Front: CO 80 stitches on the 5.0 mm needles, using Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Circulo Red and start knitting in 2x2 rib, following chart 1 and the st repeat for 8 cm. On the last row of the ribbing, make 12 evenly spaced increases, ending with 92 sts. Proceed to work in the established st pattern (1 edge st, 9 mot., 1 edge st), following chart 2 and the st repeat until the piece measures 44 cm. Start shaping the neckline by placing the 10 center sts on a stitch holder. Work with the remaining 41 sts on each side, decreasing 2 sts on the neckline edge every 2 rows (2 times in total), then 1 st (7 times in total). When the panel measures 54 cm, BO the 30 remaining sts on each shoulder and place the panel aside.
Sleeves: CO 32 stitches on the 5.0 mm needles, using Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Circulo Red and knit the cuff in 2x2 rib, following chart 1 and the st repeat for 6 cm. Proceed to work in the established st pattern (1 edge st, 3 mot., 1 edge st), following chart 2 and the st repeat until the piece measures 16 cm. Then make 1 increase on each side of the sleeve every 5th row (10 times in total), ending with 52 sts. BO all sts when the piece measures 49 cm. Make a second identical sleeve and place them aside.
Assembling and finishing: use a tapestry needle and the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Circulo Red. Seam the shoulders (19 cm) and the sides of the body (37 cm), leaving a 17 cm arm opening. Close the sleeves (49 cm) and attach them to the arm openings.
Collar: use the yarn Natural Cotton Maxcolor in the color Circulo Red and 5.0 mm needles. Place the 32 back sts on the needles, pick up 17 sts on the left side of the neckline, place the 10 front sts back on the needles and pick up 17 sts on the right side, ending with 76 sts on the needles. Knit the collar in the round and use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round; work in 2x2 rib, following chart 3 and the st repeat for 6 cm. BO all sts, leaving a 70 cm tail. Fold the collar and seam it on the WS so it measures 3 cm.
