Materials:
Círculo Merino Sweet – 3 hanks in the color 4283 (Citrus);
4.0 mm Círculo knitting needles;
4.0 mm Círculo circular knitting needles– 60 cm cable.
Stitches used: 2x2 rib: k2, p2, k2. Stockinette: k on the right side, p on the wrong side. Double moss stitch: 1st row: k2, p2, k2. 2nd and all even rows: follow the sts. 3rd row: p2, k2, p2. 5th row: repeat row 1. Cable pattern: follow the chart.
Gauge: 10 x 10 cm square in double moss stitch, using 4.0 mm = 22 sts x 32 rows.
Instructions
Back– cast-on 88 sts on the 4.0 mm needles and work in 2x2 rib for 4 cm, then switch to double moss stitch. At 36 cm from the beginning of the work, shape the armholes: bind-off on each side, every 2nd row, 4 sts, 3 sts then 2 sts. Bind-off all stitches when the work measures 52 cm from the beginning of the work.
Front– cast-on 88 sts on the 4.0 mm needles and work in 2x2 rib for 4 cm. Then, work as follows: 36 sts in double moss stitch following the instructions, 16 sts in Cable pattern following the chart, 36 sts in double moss stitch following the instructions. At 36 cm from the beginning of the work, shape the armholes by decreasing on each side, every 2nd row, 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts then 1 st. At 46 cm from the beginning, bind-off the 16 center stitches for the neckline and work on each side separately. Bind-off, on the neckline edge only, every 2nd row: 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts then 1 st. Bind-off all remaining sts at 52 cm from the beginning of the work.
Sleeves– Cast-on 52 sts on 4.0 mm needles and work in 2x2 rib for 3 cm, then in double moss stitch following the written instructions for another 2 cm At 5 cm from the beginning of the work, shape the armholes by decreasing on each side, every 2nd row, 4 sts (1x) then 1 st (14x). Bind-off all stitches when the work measures 15 cm from the beginning.
Finishing– seam the shoulders. With the circular needles, pick up 80 sts around the neckline, with the right side of the work facing out, and work in 2x2 rib for 3 cm. Bind-off all stitches. Attach the sleeves to the body. Seam the sides of the body and the sleeves.
