Instructions

Transfer the templates onto tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Note the arrows on the measurement diagram indicating the direction.

Back (1st step): Using a 3.0 mm hook and Anne yarn in craft color, start the piece at the top and work in back and forth rows. Make a chain of 81 ch and work in stitch pattern (A - 1st step) following chart 1 from the 1st to the 19th row. Fasten off and set aside.

Front (2nd step): Using a 3.0 mm hook and Anne yarn in craft color, start the piece at the left shoulder, working in back and forth rows. Make a chain of 22 ch, and work in stitch pattern (A - 2nd step) following chart 1 from the 1st to the 11th row. Fasten off and set aside. Now work the right shoulder in the same way, making a chain of 22 ch, and work in stitch pattern (A - 2nd step) following chart 1 from the 1st to the 19th row. In the 12th row, make a chain of 37 ch (neckline) to join the left shoulder piece. Now, work the front and back together, starting at the left side and working in circular rounds. Work in stitch pattern (B) following chart 2 and the repeat from the 20th to the 31st row. Continue in back and forth rows to create the left side slit of the piece. Work in stitch pattern (C) following chart 3 and the repeat from the 32nd to the 47th row. Continue in stitch pattern (D) following chart 4 and the repeat from the 48th to the 54th row. Resume working the front and back together in circular rounds. Work in stitch pattern (E) following chart 5 and the repeat from the 55th to the 68th row. Fasten off and set aside.

Square (F – 3,15 x 3,15 inches): Using a 3.0 mm hook and Anne yarn in craft color, start the motif with a magic ring, 69th row: ch 1, 1 sc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2, repeat from to 3 more times, and sl st to close the row. From the 70th to the 75th row, continue following chart 6. Make 13 more squares. Join the squares with sl st to form a strip of 14 squares. Attach this strip along the 54th row with sl st, positioning 7 motifs for the front and 7 for the back. Continue below this strip in circular rounds, working in stitch pattern (G) following chart 7 and the repeat from the 76th to the 95th row. Finish with the hem in stitch pattern (H) following chart 8 from the 96th to the 106th row. Fasten off.

Shoulder Assembly: Using a tapestry needle and Anne yarn in craft color, join the shoulders with a whipstitch (3.74 inches).

Sleeves: Using a 3.0 mm hook and Anne yarn in craft color, join the yarn to the upper edge of the armhole and work in back and forth rows in stitch pattern (I) following chart 9 from the 107th to the 157th row. From the 107th to the 112th row, work in back and forth rows, attaching the stitches to the edge of the armhole. From the 113th to the 157th row, work in circular rounds. Make the other sleeve in the same way.

Collar: Using a 3.0 mm hook and Anne yarn in craft color, join the yarn around the neckline and work in circular rounds. Work in stitch pattern (J) following chart 10 and the repeat from the 158th to the 161st row. Fasten off. Lining and Zipper: The lining is fitted to the body with sleeveless armholes as a separate piece.
