Materials:
2 Natural Cotton 4/6 (700g) yarn rolls – Color: #20 (Natural);
1 Natural Cotton 4/6 (400g) yarn roll – Color: #20 (Natural);
3 Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/6 (200g) yarn rolls – Color: #7207 (Amber);
Círculo Crochet Hook – 3.5 mm.
Gauge: each motif from Chart 1, made with Natural Cotton 4/6 and a 3.5 mm hook, measures 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm).
Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations: st. (Stitch), sts. (Stitches), r. (Row/Round), ch. (Chain), sl st. (Slip Stitch), sc. (Single Crochet), dc. (Double Crochet), hdc. (Half Double Crochet), Magic Ring.
Execution:
Chart – Motif
With Natural yarn, start with a magic ring.
R1: Start with 3 ch. (counts as dc.), 3 dc., 2 ch., 4 dc., 2 ch. , repeat from to 2x more. Close with a sl st.
R2: Attach the Amber yarn and extend it over the previous round. With Natural yarn, work 3 ch., 1 dc., change to Amber yarn, 2 dc.; At the corner, work (2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc.) in the same stitch, 2 dc., change to Natural yarn, 2 dc.; At the corner, work (2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc.) in the same stitch, 2 dc., change to Amber yarn, 2 dc.; At the corner, work (2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc.) in the same stitch, 2 dc., change to Natural yarn, 2 dc.; At the last corner, work (2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc.) in the same stitch. Close with a sl st.
Keep following Chart 1, working in circular rounds and making the necessary color changes. Fasten off all yarn ends.
Make 36 identical motifs and join them by hand-sewing with Natural yarn, following the assembly diagram.
Chart 2 – Finishing
Attach the Natural yarn at one of the corners.
R1: At the corner of the blanket, work (1 sc., 1 dc., 2 ch., 1 dc., 1 sc.) in the same stitch. Along the side of the blanket, work as follows: on the side of each motif, make 1 sc. in each stitch, leaving the last 2 stitches unworked. In the stitches next to the seam, work 2 hdc. over the last 2 stitches of the motif, 2 dc. over the corner chains, 1 dc. in the seam, 2 dc. over the corner chains of the next motif, 2 hdc., then continue this pattern until reaching the next corner . Repeat from to around the entire piece. Close with a sl st. Fasten off.
Continue following Chart 2, working in circular rounds and making the necessary color changes. Fasten off all yarn ends.
